Gift Wrapped Nails

Christmas is 2 days away!

I was inspired by all the gifts already wrapped and placed underneath the christmas tree! Not to mention tomorrow would've been my grandmother's 89th birthday (Christmas Eve). The family will be having a small get together in honor of my grandme. She absolutely LOVED this holiday. The house would've been decorated in every christmas ornament, card, decoration, and home decor you could possibly think of! We all miss her very much..

Affordable Wintery Blues

I was requested by a couple of my subscribers to come up with a look using blues & silvers with a hint of shimmer. I was inspired by a rainy snowy day we had early last week...blah! Winter is here and it's DEFINITELY not one of my favorite seasons of the year.
I hate being cold!!!
But I do have to admit the change in seasons is a beautiful thing to watch.

This is such an easy look. All it consists of is tons of blending!

All eyeshadows used came from my 80 eyeshadow palette, which I purchased off of eBay about a year ago.

Don't forget your primer to make the shadows last longer:
Too Faced Shadow insurance or UDPP (Urban Decay Primer Potion)

Results: Cantu Shea Butter

I achieved this look by doing 7 cornrows on freshly washed hair.
I placed a small amount of Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream to each section of wet hair before braiding. For a more defined frizz free curl, leave braids in until hair is completely dry.
(Just so you know: 12hrs wasn't enough..My hair was still damp).
If I wasn't running late to class, I would've blow dried the braids before taken them out...
Oh well, it still came out cute anyways!
What do you think?

Cantu Shea Butter Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream is an intensive deep penetrating leave in cream conditioning treatment that is made with pure shea butter & other natural oils to stop and mend breakage, repair split ends, and add manageability and shine with every application.
Ingredients:
Water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Glycine Soja Oil (Soybean), Propylene Glycol, Polyquaternium 37, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, PPG 1 Trideceth 6, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Stearalkonium Chloride, Trimethylsilylamodimethicone, Panthenol, PPG 1 PEG 9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, Lanolin Oil, Cinnamidopropyltrimonium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Acrylamidopropyltrimonium Chloride/Acrylamide Copolymer, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Benzophenone 3, BHA, BHT, Zea Mays Oil (Corn), Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, DMDM Hydantoin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Pro's
  • Leaves hair soft
  • Adds shine to hair
  • Great for transitioning as well as natural hair!
  • Smells really good
  • Easily untangles hair with ease
  • Leaves long lasting curls
  • Affordable
Con's
  • Can't be mixed with any other products
  • Leaves residue
  • Greasy: If used to much
  • Light hold: If not doing a braid out, twist out, bantu knots etc.
All in all, I really like this product. I'm not in LOVE with it, but it does do a good job defining my curls when doing braid outs. I've tried applying this to my wet hair without during any braid out's, twists, bantu knots etc & hated the results. Seeing how my hair is extremely thick, I felt the product was to light to hold in my curls when just brushed threw wet hair. It ended up leaving my hair looking like a hot frizzy mess by the end of the day.
