Revlon Photo Ready Foundation

Description:
Indoors, outdoors, and everywhere in between, get poreless, airbrushed skin in any light
  • "Looking for that dewy glow? This lightweight, non-greasy foundation by Revlon goes on smooth to hide your imperfections. It has light coverage, but is buildable for more full coverage. Contains sunscreen."
Price: $13.49
Location: Drugstores

Pros:
  • Medium - full coverage
  • Covers up acne scars beautifully
  • Fragrance free
  • SPF 20
  • Light weight
  • Comes w/ pump
  • BASICALLY GREAT COVERAGE!!

Before - Freshly washed face
Moisturizer - Olay for sensitive skin

After - 1 pump of Rich Ginger
Applied with Sonia Kashuk brush
Cons:
  • Shimmer overload
  • Limited color selection
I'm normally an NC42 in Mac foundation. Seeing how Revlon had limited shades to choose from, I ended up buying Revlon's Photo Ready Foundation in Golden Beige & Rich Ginger.
  • Golden beige was way to light
  • Rich ginger looked great in the mirror until I took a picture & saw how it was slightly lighter then the rest of my complexion. I could probably fix this problem by applying a darker press powder?

Conclusion:
All in all, I really like this foundation. It provided great coverage with just 1 pump. I just wish there were no visible shimmers in the foundation once applied to the face. I have really oily skin & the shimmers just make my face seem even oilier. So that's a problem. I also wish Revlon created more shades for us to choose from.

One full pump of Rich Ginger

Do you see the shimmers?!

Wet n' Wild: Craze Nail Polish

Wet n' Wild Craze Nail Polish - Glitz

One word: HOT!

This nail polish is sooo pretty, glittery & super girly, LOVES IT!!
My only complaint has to be the texture of the glitter. It can be clumpy once applied to nails, but you have to work fast and apply even brush strokes. Also, it's not fine glitter so the texture of he nail polish wont be as smooth once applied. BUT for only $1.99... Why complain ;)

Nail Polishes used:
  • Base coat: Sally Hansen - Clear'd for Takeoff
  • All over color: Petites - French Pink
  • Glitter: Wet n' Wild - Glitz
  • Top Coat: Nailene's Acrylic Strong - #66374
  • Brush size

Dupe...Possibly!?
I was skimming threw the February edition of Oprah's Magazine and saw OPI's new Spring 2010 collection: Alice and Wonderland. This collection consisted of 2 glittered nail polishes and 2 reds! In this collection, there was a nail polish called Mad as a Hatter (pictured down below). This reminded me soooo much of Wet n' Wild's Glitz because of the multicolored glitters: pink, silver, blue, purple, and gold. However, Mad as a Hatter looks like it has more of a silver-ish tint to the nail once applied? mmh..

All in all, I really like Glitz! It's super pretty, girly & really affordable.

Wet n' Wild: Coloricon

I normally don't buy Wet n' Wild eyeshadows, but when I saw this collection showcased in front of the store I had to give it a try! The sleek new packaging was cute and the wide selection of colors to choose from were really eye catching. They had 4 different palettes to choose from:
  • Pride - consisted of blues & greens
  • Vanity - consisted of a variety of browns
  • Greed - consisted of peaches & grays
  • Lust - consisted of a variety of purples <3
Like always, the price was pretty reasonable for 3 matte and 3 highly pigmented eyeshadows!
Either go get them now while supplies last or wait until Rite Aid has there BOGO or 40% off sales! Don't we just LOVE a bargain ;)

Information:
  • Name: Wet n' Wild Coloricon
  • Location: As of now, I've only seen it sold at Rite Aid
  • Color: Purples
  • Price: $4.99!!
Packaging:
Swatches of Lust:
  • 3 matte
  • 3 pigmented

Can we say DUPE alert!!
Even though I don't do a lot of tutorials using MAC eyeshadows, I'm still aware of the different finishes and huge color selection MAC has to offer. On that note, when I first saw this palette the shimmery deep burgundy eyeshadow with the reddish/ pink shimmers reminded me sooo much of beauty marked..Right!?
MAC: Beauty Marked
Color: Black - Red with Sparkle Pearl
Finish: Velvet
Price: 14.50

This goes to show you that some drugstore brands can be very comparable to higher end products ;)
